Roll call: What are you grateful for today??
It has been an absolutely WILD last few weeks, and while I feel like I can’t catch my breath sometimes and certain days feel like weeks in and of themselves, there’s so so so much to be grateful for.
The truth is that when things feel chaotic, overwhelming, out of control, or unusually dark, that’s the time when it is essential to pour light into the world and choose goodness & beauty in our own lives. Regardless of what you have going on, your heart needs to hear you say these words in a world like we live in today:
Just popping on to drop a little encouragement for everyone! This poem showed up on my timeline and created space for connections between the central goal of this poem and all of the work and learning I’ve been doing about the power of our mindset.
Our brains are amazing. Capable of more amazing things than we can possibly understand. They’re also capable of much we do comprehend, not all of which feels so amazing. For example, take the amygdala. While feelings of anxiety & a triggered state of agitation are things many of us deal with, there are ways to combat it.
I value choice – the openness of possibility, the power of weighing multiple options and selecting my next steps accordingly, the thrill of analyzing the paths ahead and stepping forward toward the horizon I’ve determined, the excitement behind intelligent risks made possible by a wide variety of viable solutions, the knowledge that the next best move is only as limited as my own creativity – to an extraordinarily high degree. Within me, choice = freedom.
Consistent use of CBD helps the body to achieve homeostasis in a variety of body systems (more to come on this later) and my daily CBD regimen was right at my sweet spot, doing everything I desired. However, small shifts (like an influx of cortisol due to a tense meeting, a nasty email, etc.) can shift the balance off slightly and there was something even more I could do in those little moments –> CBD gummies! Once I caught on that they would do a little bit of everything and would come in clutch every time I needed a boost, I took care of business. I now keep a bottle everywhere- in my purse, in my desk drawer, in my kitchen, in my home office, and I offer them to anyone at any time who needs that momentary “aahh”. And I’m not the only one.
